Wight Commercials is a family-run business specialising in commercial vehicle repair, maintenance and diagnostics. From our purpose-built workshop in Newport, our experienced and knowledgeable team provides the facilities and expertise needed to keep commercial vehicles and fleets safely on the road.
Founded by Chris and Steve Armstrong in 2017, Wight Commercials has grown from a mobile maintenance provider into one of the Isle of Wight’s leading commercial vehicle repair specialists. With more than 30 years of combined industry experience, our team works on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, from individual owner-operated vehicles through to larger commercial fleets.
A new home for Wight Commercials
From 1 September 2026, after almost 10 years of trading, Wight Commercials has moved from our former premises on Long Lane, Newport to a new purpose-built facility at Reads Farm, Betty Haunt Lane, Newport.
The move marks an exciting new chapter for the business, providing us with improved workshop facilities and more space to support our growing team and customer base.
Our new premises allow us to continue expanding the range of services we offer, including commercial vehicle servicing and repairs, preventative fleet maintenance, safety inspections, diagnostics, brake testing, tachograph work, air conditioning, ABS/EBS diagnostics and major mechanical repairs.
